How I came up with The 60 Minute Startup Series

Back when I was managing a product development team, I came across this concept called The Agile framework. It is a very simple concept that breaks the software development process into small pieces called sprints. Accomplish something in a sprint and get the customer feedback and keep iterating.


So my discovery was this. What if I break the task of starting a podcast, writing a book, or starting a business into small chunks that I could complete every day? What if I spend just 60 minutes a day doing one thing at a time about writing a book or starting a podcast or starting a business.


I implemented the concept to start my first podcast ‘The Agile Entrepreneurship’ podcast within a month. Yes, in 30 days. I conceived the podcast, interviewed my guests, and launched in 30 days. I used the same concept to complete my first book in 30 days. The podcast did extremely well. But my first book though did not take off very well. But it’s OK. It wasn’t perfect but I completed it.
